So, I just got back the final copy of In Light of Burning from the editor – they’re credited in the book’s title page. And I have to say that they were great. Awesome. Totally cool. Not only did they have reasonable pricing- they were very encouraging. I’m totally sending my next book to them when it’s done.
It’s kind of funny because when you write something, while you’re writing it you’re certain that it’s the most awesome story in the world. And then, as soon as you hit the last word on that last page and put the period to end that last sentence… you are CERTAIN everyone will hate it! That everyone will tell you to go under a rock and hide and never, EVER write another word again, (you can see just how insecure I am lol.) But so far, on Smashwords, I’ve gotten some encouraging “likes,” and that is definetly helping to raise my confidence.
So, we’ll see. I’m waiting on the response from the reviewers I’ve sent it to- that is the true test of readability.
If I can pass that test, I’m good.
