PLEASE READ BEFORE REQUESTING A REVIEW!
First, I am an honest reviewer. If you read some of my reviews on Amazon you’ll see what I mean. If you can’t handle honest reviews, please don’t request that I read your book! That said, if I don’t feel I can give your book at least three stars, I will show you the review before hand.
Second, I read fantasy, YA, urban paranormal, and new adult IF it has some fantasy themes. Please don’t send me erotica or non-fiction or anything that isn’t in the genres I mentioned! If your book is within these guidelines, continue to read below!
My rating system is completely subjective. I rate based on how much I enjoyed the book, as well as how polished the work seems. I will specify whether the book was given to me free to review or whether I purchased it myself.
5 out of 5 stars: I loved the book so much that I purchased a copy.
4 out of 5 stars: I really enjoyed the story and couldn’t stop reading.
3 out of 5 stars: The book was entertaining and engaging.
2 out of 5 stars: The book was difficult to read.
1 out of 5 stars: The book was just not my cup of tea at all.
If there are any questions about my rating system- please feel free to contact me! I can say that as a fellow writer, I am extremely compassionate about independently written works. That said, I will not rake anyone’s work over the coals- unless it’s obvious they didn’t care enough about their work to take the necessary steps to make sure it was ready for publishing.
